Error: Unable to get email statistics from the web server - when exporting from RE

When running an export from the Raiser's Edge that includes any NetCommunity email statistics, the following error may display: 
Unable to get email statistics from the web server: 
System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server not responding. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The wait operation timed out.


If this error is happening for page statistics.
Per our documentation here, these fields are not available to be exported. ​Our Product Development team has reviewed this issue and its impact on the software. After careful consideration, we have determined that we will not be addressing this issue. Some of the fields are available in a Raiser's Edge Query.

 

Steps to Duplicate

  1. In The Raiser's Edge, start a new Constituent Export in an Excel or CSV format.
  2. On the General tab, attach a constituent query to identify records with NetCommunity tab data.
  3. On the Output tab, select the following fields from the Blackbaud NetCommunity Email Stats
    • Clicked Through Flag?
    • Date Sent
    • Email Name
    • Opened Flag?
    • Subject
    • System Record ID
    • VBA User Field
  4. Run the Export.
  5. Note: the error occurs
