When applying a credit memo to an invoice, a user may receive, Error: The application amount cannot be greater than the balance of the credit memo it is being applied to. This may happen if the credit memo balance is displaying $0, but the invoice it is applied to (or was once applied to) is no longer showing on the credit memo record.
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.
Steps to Duplicate
1. Open Credit Memo in question 2. Notice the credit remaining is already $0 but no invoice shows 3. Change the drop down to show "show all unpaid invoices 4. Enter an amount on the row of the invoice to apply to 5. Click Apply 6. Click Save and close 7. Receive "The application amount cannot be greater than the balance of the credit memo it is being applied to"
