Error: Column format does not exist. Please try again - when choosing a column format in Design Statements

After deleting a column format, this error may occur on the column format tab.
If it's possible to choose a different column format from the Column Format tab:
  1. Click OK on the error message
  2. Choose a different column format from the drop down box
If the error message prevents you from choosing a different column format from the drop down box:
  1. Click the statement tab
  2. Choose a different column format from the Column Format drop down
  3. Click the save button
  4. Click the Column Format tab
Note: If the column format was deleted by mistake, create a new column format by clicking Create/Copy Format.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Go to General Ledger 
  2. Click Design Statement supertab
  3. Click Column Format
  4. Delete a column format
  5. Receive the error message after the format is deleted
