In order to approve the alternate course for a denied course request, we will need to add the alternate as a new course request. To do so we can:
 
  1. Navigate to Academics > Scheduling > Requests and Schedules > Overview
  2. Change the year, school level, and term drop downs at the top of the screen to the appropriate values
  3. Click the blue Requests link in the Course Requests block
  4. Use the search bar to find the student you wish to change the requests for
  5. Click the 3 dot button to the left of their name and select Edit Requests and Recommendations
  6. In the pop-up window, click the blue +Add Request link 
  7. Type the name of the course in the box to search for it, set the priority, the desired term, and approve the request
  8. Click the Apply Changes button
