Clients making use of our installed products have greater control over where their data lives and how to access it. In some rare occurrences, users report that the data is outdated when they run searches in GIFTS/Alta/MyGIFTS. One of the primary reasons for this behavior is that the database being mapped to from the affected workstation is incorrect.
If you are seeing outdated data in GIFTS/Alta/MyGIFTS, we recommend checking your GIFTS.INI file in the C:\Windows directory. Ensure that the database being pointed to in the file is correct and that the username and password used to connect to that same database is correct too.
If the file seems out of date, edit it to reflect the recent database location and you should then see data appear correctly in your searches.
