When viewing the BBIS testconfig page, the BBPS WS Ping section has the error, "URL: https://payment.service.blackbaudhost.com/BBPS/additional_services/paymentprocessing.asmx System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond xx.xx.xx.xxx:443 at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.DoConnect(EndPoint endPointSnapshot, SocketAddress socketAddress) at System.Net.ServicePoint.ConnectSocketInternal(Boolean connectFailure, Socket s4, Socket s6, Socket& socket, IPAddress& address, ConnectSocketState state, IAsyncResult asyncResult, Int32 timeout, Exception& exception)"
This error is almost always caused by a network/firewall issue. First, ensure the application pool is started. Second, confirm that port 443 and port 80 are open for incoming and outgoing traffic on your firewall. Consider completing the following steps below until the error clears.
1) Recycle the BBIS application pool 2) Restart IIS
