1. The reviewer enters raw scores within the ranges provided on each rubric.
GPA score = 9 (out of 15)
Personal Statement score = 16 (out of 20)
Overall Impression score = 7 (out of 10)
2. If the rubric has a weight other than 1 defined, the raw score is multiplied by the value of the weight.
GPA score has a weight of 10. This means the Weighted Score is now 90/150.
Personal Statement score has a weight of 3. This means the Weighted Score is now 48/60.
Overall Impression score has a weight of 5. This means the Weighted Score is now 35/50.
3. The Weighted Scores for each rubric are added together.
ex: The overall Weighted Reviewer Score from this reviewer is now 173 (90+48+35) out of 260 (150+60+50).
4. The sum is normalized to a 100-point scale.
ex: Take 173 divided by 260 and multiply it by 100 (173/260 x 100) to get 66.54 on a 100-point scale.
Lastly, if three reviewers provided final, normalized scores of 66.54, 68.93, and 74.65, these would be averaged ((66.54+68.93+74.65)/3) and the application's "Reviewer Score" seen on the Applications grid would be 70.04.
