Inactive gift attributes appearing in batch data entry

Inactivated gift attributes are still available for selection when adding new batch fields. Users are also able to add information to the field and commit the batch without errors. This does not occur with manual data entry.
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information. In the meantime, the name of the attribute can be changed to discourage users from using it. 

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Navigate to Config>Attributes>Gift
  2. Unmark the "Active" checkbox for one of the gift attributes listed
  3. Click Batch>New Gift batch
  4. Click the Fields tab
  5. Expand the "Attributes" section
  6. Notice the attribute from Step 2 is still available
  7. Add the attribute fields to the batch
  8. Type a row of data in the batch
  9. Commit the batch
  10. Open the committed gift
  11. Notice the gift has the inactive attribute populated on the Attributes tab
  12. Select the Category drop-down in the next-available row
  13. Notice the attribute is not available for selection
