User not authorized to access fields in this query

User not authorized to access fields in this query when security has been added for Consent.
This is resolved in 7.96, patch 12, released in July-August 2018 and applied to databases in Blackbaud Hosting Services. If your database is installed locally, download and install the latest version and patch, if applicable.

Alternative solution:
Grant user access to Solicit Codes

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Ensure you have records with consent
  2. Create query on consent (e.g. Category not blank and output Name and consent fields), save and close
  3. Create user group - uncheck Add Consent under Miscellaneous Constituent Options
  4. Add a user to this group
  5. Log into RE using this user account
  6. Open a constituent with consent - consent button can be clicked and consent can be viewed
  7. Run the query created in step 2 and user is unable to view - gets message ‘User not authorized to access fields in this query’
