The Ministry Planner is comprised of three main parts:

  • Ministries
  • Roles
  • Role Requirements

Teams also play an important role, but these 3 components are the foundation of the ministry planner and must be in place before volunteers enter the equation.

Ministries are at the top level of the ministry planner.  An example of a ministry would be "Ushers" or "Hospitality Ministry".

Roles are contained within each ministry. There can be many roles in a ministry. An example of an Usher role would be "Head Usher" or "Usher - West Entrance".

Role requirements are contained within each role. There can be many role requirements in each role. An example of an Usher role requirement would be "Good with people".
