This solution assumes that you are linking gifts to a tribute record in Altru.

Start your query:
  1. Navigate to Analysis, then click on Information Library
  2. Click Add an ad-hoc query
  3. Select source view of Revenue and click OK

Add fields to Include records where:
  1. In the left column, expand Revenue, expand Revenue Tributes, then select Tribute. From the middle column, drag Tribute record into Include records where. Set this to "Not blank"
  2. (Optional) If you would like to limited the query to tribute gifts made in a particular date range: In the left column, highlight Revenue. From the middle column, drag Date into Include records where. Set this to the desired date range.
  3. (Optional) If you would like to limited the query to tribute gifts of a particular tribute type: In the left column, expand Revenue, expand Revenue Tributes, then select Tribute. From the middle column, drag Tribute type into Include records where. Set this equal to the tribute type needed.
  4. (Optional) If you would like to limited the query to tribute gifts made to a specific tribute: In the left column, expand Revenue, expand Revenue Tributes, then select Tribute. From the middle column, drag Tribute record into Include records where. Set this equal to the specific tribute record you want.

Add fields to Results fields to display:
  1. To add the date of the gift: From the left column, select Revenue. From the middle column, drag Date into Results fields to display. (This is a default output field in a Revenue query, so you may be able to skip this step.)
  2. To add the amount applied to the tribute: From the left column, expand Revenue, then highlight Revenue Tributes. From the middle column, drag Amount into Results fields to display.
  3. To add the tribute type: From the left column, expand Revenue, then expand Revenue Tributes, and highlight Tribute. From the middle column, drag Tribute type into Results fields to display.
  4. To add the tribute text: From the left column, expand Revenue, then expand Revenue Tributes, and highlight Tribute. From the middle column, drag Tribute text into Results fields to display. 
  5. To add the name of the tributee: From the left column, expand Revenue, expand Revenue Tributes, expand Tribute, then highlight Tributee. From the middle column, drag Name text into Results fields to display.
  6. To add the name of the acknowledgee(s): From the left column, expand Revenue, expand Revenue Tributes, expand Tribute, expand Tribute acknowledgees, then highlight Acknowledgee. From the middle column, drag Name text into Results fields to display.
    • Note: There may be more than one Acknowledgee on a tribute, which will cause multiple rows for the same gift in your query results.

Save your query:
  1. Click Set save options tab
  2. Name the query
  3. If you will be using this query elsewhere in Altru, mark to Create a selection
  4. If you will be using this query in another query, mark to Show this Selection in the Query Designer
  5. Click Save and Close
