Error: This event has been marked inactive or is not on sale and cannot be scheduled - when adding a scheduled program to a group sale reservation itinerary

When copying an existing itinerary in group sales, the events there were scheduled in the first itinerary are unscheduled in the copy and I receive an error: This event has been marked inactive or is not on sale and cannot be scheduled.
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

In the meantime, you can remove the event with the error and re-schedule it manually:
  1. Right-click on the event and select Delete
  2. Click Add > Scheduled Event from the top right of the itinerary
  3. In the Add a scheduled event window, select the program from the drop down
  4. Select the event in the grid
  5. Click Save

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Navigate to Sales > Group Sales
  2. Open reservation record
  3. Click on the hyperlink name for the itinerary in the Manage Itineraries section
  4. Click Add in the top right and select Scheduled Event
  5. Select the program from the drop down
  6. Select the event from the list
  7. Click Save
  8. Go back to the reservation record
  9. Click Add in the Manage Itineraries section
  10. Enter a name, group type, price type, and count
  11. Click Save
  12. Click on the hyperlink name for the new itinerary
  13. Click Copy another itinerary from the Tasks menu in the top left
  14. From the Itinerary drop down, select the first itinerary
  15. Click Copy
  16. Notice the event appears in the itinerary but it is red with the text "<Event Name>; NOT ADDED; Event is not on sale"
