If an Award Period is no longer needed, it can be disabled so that it is not an option from the Award Period drop down menu when awarding applicants. This can help streamline the awarding process as well as limit the chances an incorrect Award Period will be selected.

(Please note: The award period would still be present on the applications it was applied to; this process only affects the list available to administrators.)

To disable an Award Period:

1. Select Site > Configurations > Award Periods

2. Mark Disabled? next to the Award Period you would like to disable and select the green Update button

Once disabled, the Award Period will no longer be seen as an available selection when awarding applicants.
