Transactions processed after the configuration change to BBMS accounts on July 26th, 2018 will appear differently to your constituent’s credit card issuer. In some cases, the card issuer may decline certain recurring transactions, especially those charged with expired or outdated card information.

If you are currently processing recurring gifts using cards with expired data, you will need to proactively contact your donors to request new payment information. We also encourage you to implement the data hygiene best practices highlighted in this Blackbaud Institute report, Untapped Potential: The Case for Data Health.
