When a philanthropic gift has multiple category types, one may notice the gift will not pull into query results when only one of the categories is included in the query criteria.
We are currently evaluating this issue for a fix in a future service pack.
Steps to Duplicate
1. Navigate to Prospects > Search Major giving prospects. Select a prospect. You are taken to their constituent record. 2. On the constituent record, click Wealth and ratings under More information. You are then taken to their wealth and ratings record. 3. On the wealth and ratings record, navigate to the Giving tab. Under Philanthropic gifts, click Add. 4. On the Add philanthropoic gift form, enter a Source, Name, and Amount range. Click the edit button for the Category field and select several different categories. Make note of the categories you select. Click Save. 5. Navigate to Analysis > Information Library. Click Add an ad-hoc query. Select Constituents as your source view and click OK. 6. Add the following nodes to the Include records where criteria block: Wealth Information\Philanthropic Gifts\Name is equal to [insert the name of the gift you created in step 4] 7. Add the following nodes to the Results fields to display block: Constituent\Name Wealth Information\Philanthropic Gifts\Category 8. Navigate to the Preview results tab. You should see the gift you created in step 4. Make note that all your gift categories show here. 9. Navigate back to the Select filter and output fields tab and add the following query node to the Include records where criteria block: Wealth Information\Philanthropic Gifts\Catgory is equal to [insert one of the categories of your gift]. 10. Navigate back to the Preview results tab. Note that when you query on only one of the categories that your gift falls under, the gift does not show in the results. If you were to add all the categories of this gift in the query criteria, only then would the gift show. The desired behavior would be for the gift to show when only one of its categories is queried.
