What Organization and Contact Fields Update Through IGAM?

When an application from an organization that already exists in Blackbaud Grantmaking is considered, what Organization and Contact fields can be updated?
Organization Information:

Enable the Update check-box to overwrite the linked Organization fields in Blackbaud Grantmaking with the corresponding application fields during the consideration process. This updates the following fields if they are included on the application:
  • Address
  • City
  • State
  • Zip/Postal
  • Country
  • Phone
  • Extension
  • Fax
  • Email
  • WWW Address
  • Organization Annual Budget
Blank application fields do not overwrite corresponding BBGM fields. However, if the application form contains Phone information but not Extension information, any Extension information for the associated BBGM record is erased. If this feature is used to overwrite an Organization’s Address, all Contacts associated with the Organization that share the same Office Address as the Organization has their Office Address overwritten. However, if this feature is used to overwrite a Contact’s Office Address, the Primary Organization associated with the Contact does not have their Address overwritten, and no longer shares their Office Address with the Contact.
NOTE: During the Duplicate Check step of the Consider process, if the User chooses to update an existing Organization record with data from the Application, the only Organization fields that update are those fields selected during the Duplicate Check process. No other fields automatically update.

Contact Information:

  • Home/Office (Main) Phone
  • Home/Office (Main) Extension

  • Pager

However, if the application form contains Phone information but not Extension information, any Extension information for the associated BBGM record is erased. If this feature is used to overwrite an Organization’s Address, all Contacts associated with the Organization that share the same Office Address as the Organization has their Office Address overwritten. However, if this feature is used to overwrite a Contact’s Office Address, the Primary Organization associated with the Contact does not have their Address overwritten, and no longer shares their Office Address with the Contact.

Additionally, Codes and True/False flags never update.
