In Altru, each type of transaction has an Application. The Application tells Altru where that revenue goes, e.g. a donation, membership, event registration, etc. When querying on Revenue, it's important to include the Application to tell Altru which kinds of revenue you want in the query.

To include only donations in your query:

Start your query: 
  1. Go to Analysis then click on Information Library
  2. Click on Add an ad-hoc query.
  3. Select a Source View of Revenue and click okay
Add fields to include records where
  1. In the list of fields to choose on the left-hand side, highlight Application Details
  2. In the middle column of fields, drag Application to include records where and  equal to and choose Donation in the drop-down

Add any additional details you may need such as Date, Amount, Designation, etc.
