This issue is currently being investigated. However, there are a few workarounds:

1. Switch the SQL database connection to Windows Auth mode instead of Mixed.
2. Update the AFFINI ODBC DSN connection to used a Trusted Connection instead of the SQL account
3. Edit the Crystal Report and change the database connection to  Windows Authentication (trusted) from a SQL login.
 
Tip: If there is still a connection error occurring after switching to a Trusted Connection, ensure that you are logged into the account as a Windows Admin or add the Windows user to the list of SQL logins with access to the FE database.
