We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

This error indicates there is a special character (such as # or !) in the device name. Please rename the device in the BBMS Web Portal:
  1. Log in to the BBMS Web Portal 
  2. Navigate to Account Management > Mobile Devices 
  3. Locate the device in question 
  4. Click the ellipses button (...) 
  5. Select Edit 
  6. Remove the special character from the device name 
  7. Click Save
  8. Try logging into the Mobilepay app again
If the error persists, please uninstall and reinstall the app on the device.
