To separate relationships for parents who are divorced:
  1. In Core > Users/Access > Profile > Edit User Profile Data, open the profile of the parent who will keep the home address.
  2. In the Relationships channel, click the Relationships Settings link.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Mark the Resides With checkbox for the child relationship(s) if applicable.
  5. Click Save.
  6. In the Relationships channel, click Delete next to the former spouse's name. A screen displays all shared Address and Phone Number information (if any)
  7. For each Address listed, select the radio button under the name of the parent who will keep the Address.
  8. For each Phone Number listed, select the radio button under the name of the parent who will keep the Phone Number.
Note: Selecting "Both" will keep the Address and Phone Number in each profile. However, this information will no longer be shared with the former spouse. Although choosing "Both" will save the information to both parents, the information is still shared between one of the parents and the child(ren). This is usually the parent who originally owned the address. Given this, it is best to select the radio button under the name of the parent who will live with the child instead of selecting "Both" and complete the steps below

Add a new address for the non-custodial parent and change the Salutation information (if applicable).
  1. Go to the profile of the parent who is no longer at the original home address.
  2. In the Address Information channel, enter new address information for this parent, including the Salutation information (if applicable).
  3. In the Phone Information channel, enter new phone information for this parent.
  4. Remove the Preferred Address indicator from Parent view of child profile. Though this is not a required step, turning off the Preferred Address indicator is helpful in cases of divorced parents where seeing the Preferred Address indicator associated with the ex-spouses address on their child's profile may cause tension.
  5. If applicable, in the Relationships channel, select Relationship Settings > Edit, and mark the Resides with option for the child relationship(s).
  6. Click Save.
To complete the process, update the Living Status for each parent:
  1. Core > Users/Access > Profile > Edit User Profile Data > select one of the former spouses.
  2. In the Personal Information channel, select Edit.
  3. Select the appropriate option in the Living Status field.
  4. Click Save & Exit.
  5. Repeat for the other former spouse.
