On 2/4/2015, there was a release the included the ability for non-paying registrants, such as employees to be able to register without having the other attendee types able to see what they are paying. 

To hide the item from the non-qualifying role:

  1. Edit into the event registration
  2. Select registration items
  3. PLace the employee items in a separate Item Group
  4. Edit into the item group
  5. Scroll down to Who can attend and mark the applicable roles 
  6. Click Save & Exit
