Please note: We do not recommend cloning the Platform Manager role unless absolutely necessary because you could accidentally give a user access to tasks that are inappropriate for their role. Please clone the Platform Manager role judiciously.

To give a user access to creating and editing the Resource Boards by cloning the Platform Manager role, you will need to take the following steps:

  1. Go to Core > Security > Roles.
  2. Click Add in top-right.
  3. Enter a Role Name (example: Resource Board Editor)
  4. Select Platform Manager as your Base Role.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Click Next (again) without selecting any tasks.
  7. Search for and add members to the role.
  8. Save & Exit.
  9. Select the Role you just created.
  10. Click Tasks on the left.
  11. Click Edit.
  12. Mark the boxes for Resource Board Detail Edit and Resource Boards.
  13. Save & Exit.


This will give the cloned role access to only those tasks and your user should be ready to edit the resource boards after the User logs out and back in for the Role change to take effect.

Note: In addition, a user must also have the Content Manager role to be able edit and add content on a resource board.  For more information on how to add a Role to a User, see Adding a Role to a User
