Entering/Updating E-mail Addresses & Text Enabled Devices

E-mail Address

  • Users must have viewing or editing access to their e-mail address in order to subscribe to e-mail notifications. The e-mail address entered in this field is shared with the e-mail address in the profile. They will need Viewing Access if there is already a email address listed, and/or Editing Access if they need to add a email so they may subscribe to notifications.   • To enter an e-mail address, click the green plus sign. Enter the address and click Save. To change an e-mail address, click the pencil. Update the address and click Save. To delete the e-mail address, click the red x.
  • The "Yes" radio button next to Enabled must be selected in order to subscribe to e-mail notifications.

Text-Enabled Device

  • To add a text enabled device, click the green plus sign. Enter the device phone number, country of service, and provider. Upon saving, an activation code will be sent to the device. Enter the code in the dialog box and click Save. The number and provider can be changed at any time by clicking on the Modify Number/Carrier link.
  • The "Yes" radio button next to Enabled must be selected in order to subscribe to text notifications.
  • This text enabled device is independent from any phone numbers saved in the profile.


Selecting Notifications to Receive

Academics

  • To receive e-mail notifications, check the E-mail checkbox next to the desired notification under Academics.
  • To receive text notifications, check the Text checkbox next to the desired notification under Academics.

Announcements

  • Click the Setup link.
  • In the dialog box, select the announcement categories and/or groups to which you want to subscribe.
  • Click Save.
  • To receive e-mail notifications, check the E-mail checkbox.
  • To receive text notifications, check the Text checkbox.
  • Categories/groups can be changed anytime by clicking the Edit link.

Messaging

  • To receive e-mail notifications, check the E-mail checkbox next to Messaging. Notifications will be sent when a new message is received.
  • To receive text notifications, check the Text checkbox.

News

  • Click the Setup link.
  • In the dialog box, select the news categories and/or groups to which you want to subscribe.
  • Click Save.
  • To receive e-mail notifications, check the E-mail checkbox.
  • To receive text notifications, check the Text checkbox.
  • Categories/groups can be changed anytime by clicking the Edit link.


Athletics

  • To receive e-mail notifications, check the E-mail checkbox next to the desired notification.
  • To receive text notifications, check the Text checkbox next to the desired notification.
  • For game and practice reminders, you must first click the Setup link to choose when to receive the reminder.


Pushpage

  • Users can opt out of receiving pushpages from the Notifications settings screen. They can opt out of all pushpage communication by unchecking the Receive Bulk E-mail checkbox. Alternatively, users can opt out of individual, public distribution groups by unchecking the checkbox next to each list.

Alumni Groups

  • The option to e-mail class notes and/or agent letters must be enabled under Alumni Manager before users can subscribe to notifications.
  • Alumni can use notifications to opt in or out of receiving e-mail and/or text notifications when a new agent letter or class note is added. To opt in, check the e-mail and/or text notification checkbox; to opt out, uncheck the email and/or text notification checkbox.
