If the grade plan dates are not open or there is a mistake in dates

  • Go to the Academics persona
  • Grades > Grading setup > School year setup
  • Find the grade plan and select View
  • Review the grading start/end dates
     

If the grade plan group has not been added to the course

  • Go to the Academics persona
  • Scheduling > Requests and Schedules
  • Select "Departments & Courses" 
  • Search for the Course and select the Edit icon
     

If the grade plan is tied to both single term and multi-term courses, and only a formula for single term courses has been entered. Teachers of multi-term courses would not be able to record grades:

  • Go to the Academics persona
  • Grades > Grading setup > School year setup
  • Find and view the grade plan
  • Select "Edit" in the top right and view the Formulas
  • Add a Multi-Term Formula
     

If the grade plan is tied to both single term and multi-term courses, and only a formula for multi-term courses has been entered. Teachers of single term courses would not be able to record grades:

  • Go to the Academics persona
  • Grades > Grading setup > School year setup
  • Find and view the grade plan
  • Select "Edit" in the top right and view the Formulas
  • Add a Multi-Term Formula
     

If the Record Grades task disabled for the Teacher role:

  • Go to the Core persona
  • Select "Roles" under Security
  • Select Manage roles and select the Teacher role
  • Click on "Tasks" and "Edit" if the task needs to be enabled
