Error: Invalid attribute in connection string - Access denied Authorization failed when setting up ODBC

When setting up an ODBC connection, the following error occurs, "[DataDirect][ODBC Progress OpenEdge Wire Protocol driver][OPENEDGE] Access denied )(Authorisation failed)" occurs.
This issue can occur because the FIMS User ID that is being used to set up the ODBC Data Source does not have an associated password. ODBC connections to the database require a User ID and password.

Solution: Have the user establish a password in FIMS by choosing 'Change User Password' from the Tools menu. Re-try the ODBC Data Source setup.

Environment

 FIMS
