Sometimes the detailed grant listing doesn't agree with the number in the income statement section of the fund statement.

Usually this difference is because:
  • The apply date for the journal entry reflecting the cancellation was in a different period/quarter than the original grant.
  • A refund was done for a fully paid grant through Grant Cancellation, but no journal entry was done to reflect the same in G/L (or the journal entry was not posted through).
  • A refund/cancellation was done through Grant Cancellation, but a debit memo was not done (or not posted through).
