The following exports include the ASF (Alpha Sort Field) for the Student and therefore can be easily sorted alphabetically within Excel after exporting.
  • Student Export
    • This export gives you Student name and address fields along with most of the information from the Student record.
    • You can also select based on whether unposted or posted Applications exist.
    • For example, if you want to select only Students who have unposted Applications, on the Selections tab in the top drop-down choose Record; then select (Record) Unposted app = Yes.
  • Spreadsheet Export
    • This export on the Processes tab in Unposted Applications was designed to give information to your Scholarship Committee to help them make decisions on awards.
    • The fields included are from the Student records and unposted Applications.
  • Data Grids
    • The Student ASF is also available when creating data grids.
  • Export Applications
    • This export on the Processes tab in Unposted Applications does not include the ASF but you can choose to sort by ASF on the Sorting tab before exporting data.
    • The same applies to Export Application History .
  • Separate Name Fields
    • If you need to separate out the individual name fields for the Student (First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name), after opening exported data in Excel, choose the Text to Columns option to separate name fields into separate columns.
    • The following steps explain how to do this in Excel.
      • Open your exported data in Excel. Highlight the column you want to separate into separate fields (e.g. Student Name).
      • Click on Data > Text to Columns.
      • Click Next.
      • Check Space.
      • Click Finish.
