Generating email on a 64-bit Job Manager Service machine may cause en error due to the file not being generated within a period of time. To avoid this error, a timeout value may be increased by editing a new system preference.  A preference has been added to the GIFTS Administrator that allows you to change the length of the delay (the default is three seconds). In order to change this setting:
  1. Log in to the GIFTS Administrator and select Setup > Preferences from the main menu.
  2. Click the Preferences Editor and confirm you want to continue. The Preferences Editor opens.
  3. In the System category, select GIFTSConnections and click Edit . The Edit Preference window opens.
  4. In the Preferences field, add a new line at the bottom of any other preferences and enter the following: MSOfficeTimeout=5
  5. Click OK and exit the Administrator, saving your changes.   In step 4, we changed the delay to five seconds. Since you will likely want the wait to be as short as possible for your MyGIFTS and ReviewerCONNECT users, you should use trial and error to find the shortest delay that still allows time for the email to be generated.
