When users attempt to create selection criteria for missing Coding Sheet data while preparing to run a report from the GIFTS Report Library, a message similar to the following is displayed:
Error occurred while constructing a SQL Where clause. This search criteria uses the "Is Missing" operator with the Coding Sheet. This is not supported by Crystal Reports.
The Crystal Reports engine used to generate most standard reports does not support searches for data that "Is Missing" from Coding Sheet fields.
You can avoid this error by saving your selection criteria in Advanced search format (instead of saving it from the Quick Find search window). To do so:
1. In the Report Library, choose the report you'd like to run 2. Click New Search. In Quick Find, select Request Coding Sheet and choose your selection criteria. When your selection criteria are complete, click Advanced . Your selection criteria are displayed in the Advanced search window. 3.Click OK to save your selection criteria in Advanced search format. Run the report.
Note: The Advanced criteria will only work for ad hoc and "version 6" reports. If you attempt to apply this search to other reports, you will receive an "Error occurred while setting the selection criteria for a report" error.
