If this occurs, you will need to manually access the database upgrade file and then double-click to run the upgrade. Please follow the instructions below based on the version currently installed and the version you are upgrading to.

For users upgrading from GIFTS 6.2.1 to GIFTS 6.4:
1) Go to the folder where the installation files are located
2) Within this folder, there should exist a folder called GA; open this folder, then open the subfolder called Exes
3) Once the Exes folder is opened, double-click the file "GIFTS64Upg.exe" to run the database upgrade
4) Allow this to complete, then open GIFTS to confirm all is working successfully; if any errors, please contact Microedge Technical Support


For users upgrading from GIFTS 6.4 to GIFTS 6.5/6.6:
1) Go to the folder where the installation files are located
2) Within this folder, there should exist a folder called GA; open this folder, then open the subfolder called Exes (NOTE: In some cases, the EXES folder may exist in the Installation folder)
3) Once the Exes folder is opened, double-click the file "GiftsUpgrade.exe" to run the database upgrade
4) Allow this to complete, then open GIFTS to confirm all is working successfully; if any errors, please contact Microedge Technical Support

 
For users upgrading from GIFTS Alta 1.5/1.6 to any version higher:
1) Go to the folder where the installation files are located
2) Within this folder, there should exist a folder called GA; open this folder, then open the subfolder called Alta Exes (NOTE: In some cases, the EXES folder may exist in the Installation folder)
3) Once the Alta Exes folder is opened, open the Alta Upgrade folder if it exists and double-click the file "AltaUpgrade.exe" to run the database upgrade; if the AltaUpgrade.exe file exists in the Alta Exes folder, you may run it from there.
4) Allow this to complete, then open GIFTS Alta to confirm all is working successfully; if any errors, please contact Microedge Technical Support
