My Browser is Blank or Frozen after a GIFTS Online Update

Details: After a GIFTS Online update or browser update,  it is recommended to always clear your browser cache before logging in to GIFTS Online.
This should prevent issues upon  logging in to GIFTS Online with blank or frozen screens.

For Internet Explorer 11:
  1. On the very right-hand side of the browser, click on the Gear icon, also called the Tools icon,
  2. Followed by Safety
  3. Finally Delete Browsing History
  4. NOTE: If you have the Menu bar enabled, you can instead click Tools > Delete browsing history..
  5. In the Delete Browsing History window, uncheck all options except the one labeled "Temporary Internet files and website files".
  6. Click the Delete button. The Delete Browsing History window will disappear as the request is processed.   

For Internet Explorer 8/9/10:
  1. On the Menu Bar, go to Tools > Internet options
  2. Go to the General tab. In the Browsing History section, click  Delete .
  3. Have "Temporary Internet Files" checked and click Delete .
Helpful tip for Internet Explorer users:  There is a little known setting in IE that will help reduce the number of necessary cache clears:
Go to Internet Options. Go to General tab. In the Browsing History section, click  Settings . For  Check for newer versions of stored pages,  select   Every time I visit the webpage.

In Firefox:
  1. On the Menu Bar, Go to  Tools>Options .
  2. Click the Advanced  tab.
  3. Click the  Network tab.
  4. In the Cached Web Content section, click Clear Now .
