Why am I getting a Could not connect to server for database n:\found\dbfiles\found, errno 10060. (1432) error?

FIMS works on the server, but no workstations can connect to database, and you receive error: Could not connect to server for database n:\found\dbfiles\found, errno 10060. (1432). You will need to add in firewall exceptions to resolve this.
If you can connect to FIMS from the server, but not from any workstations, this is likely a result of the server firewall blocking the connections to a couple necessary files.   On the server, the Firewall must not block mprosrv.exe or prowin32.exe.   
  • Control Panel > Windows Firewall > On left side of screen go to Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall > Click Allow another Program > Browse to x:\dlc\bin and add mprosrv.exe and prowin32.exe.   
  • Make sure that all of the boxes are checked for Domain, Home/Work, and Public in the list for both programs
  • This should allow for connections.   
  • If workstations still cannot connect, try adding prowin32.exe to the exception list on the workstation firewall
