1. Open Microsoft Excel
  2. Select File, Open from the menu bar
  3. In the Open window under Files of Type, select All Files
  4. Browse to the location of the CSV file and highlight it
  5. Click Open
  6. The file either opens or an Import Text Wizard screen appears. If the wizard appears, complete the following steps:
     
    1. On Step 1 of the Import Text Wizard screen, select Delimited for the format
    2. Click Next.
       
    3. On Step 2, Deselect Tab and select Comma for delimiter option.
       
    4. Click Next.
       
    5. On Step 3, Click Finish.

       

Note: If any of the fields in the data file begin with leading zeroes, refer to Leading zeroes are dropped in Microsoft Excel (16061).
