In The Financial Edge: 

  1. On the navigation bar, click Banks. 
  2. Click Administrative Tasks, Void unused checks. 
  3. Select the correct Transaction type and enter the check numbers to void. 
  4. Click OK
               Note: You will only have the option to choose a transaction type when voiding checks in Payroll or Accounts Payable.

In Accounting for Nonprofits: 

  1. Select File, Void, Unwritten checks from the menu bar. 
  2. Enter the Void Date, transaction type and the starting and ending check number. 
  3. Click OK.

    Note: Only the Computer Check option is available for the Accounting for Nonprofits version. The Financial Edge allows you to void unwritten manual checks. The unused check will display in the Register as Voided Unused payment.
Alternative solution: to void an unwritten manual check in Accounting for Nonprofits: 
  1. Record the manual check 
  2. Void the manual check
