Note : Before you proceed with the following instructions, back up the database. If your organization integrates multiple Blackbaud products, refer to the Additional Requirements section of the backup article.
  1. Create a constituent query of the appropriate constituent records
  2. Click Admin, Globally Change Records 
  3. Highlight Constituent and click New Change 
  4. Include the query in step 1
  5. Select Biographical in the Show drop-down 
  6. Double-click Deceased
  7. To globally mark the Deceased?, select Add as the Operation and Checked as the Value and mark the Overwrite existing value checkbox
    To globally unmark the Deceased?, select Replace as the Operation. Replace Checked with Unchecked.
  8. Click OK 
  9. We recommend marking:
    • Create a control report and select Print or Preview
    • Create query of exceptions
    • Create query of changed records
  10. Click Change Now to process
