Note: Incorrect changes to registry settings can cause serious system problems that may be irreversible without reinstallation of the operating system. You must back up your registry before making any registry changes. We are not responsible for damage resulting from incorrect use of the Registry Editor.

If the error occurs when updating a workstation:

  1. From the workstation, browse to the Deploy\VBA folder on the server.
  2. Right-click on Vba6.msi and select Install.
Note: If you receive the error 'The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation', proceed to step 5. Contact your network administrator for assistance. Setting network policies is beyond our Scopes of Support
  3. Right-click on VBA6.MSI and select Repair.
  4. Rerun the workstation installation.
Note: Only proceed with the following steps if the error noted in step 2 occurs:
  1. Edit the Registry.
  2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer.
  3. Verify the InstallMSI value is set to 0 (This key will read DisableMSI for Windows 2003 operating systems).
  4. Rerun the workstation installation.
If the error continues to occur on the workstation, copy the Deploy folder locally and run the setup.exe from this local copy.
