You're creating a report in Crystal Reports for Blackbaud and you want to group by Constituent Name. After you create the group, the report's format changes to appear in an outline structure, and the Constituent Name field appears in the section above the Details section (see Screen A).
However, this is not how you want the information to appear on the report. You want the group name (in this case, Constituent Name) to display on the same line as the first line of the Details section (see Screen B).
To have the group name appear on the first line of the Details section, right-click in the group's gray area and select Format Section. On the Section Expert screen, mark Underlay Following Sections.You can also use Underlay Following Sections to add watermarks, such as Confidential, or special fields behind the text in the report.
