Appeals are used to track the different solicitations and/or promotions an organization uses to prompt donors to give. Appeals are often used to track direct mailings, phonathons, and dinners. You can add an appeal to a constituent's Appeals tab to indicate that the he was included in the solicitation.  

The Appeal field on a gift record indicates the solicitation method which prompted the donor to give.



By placing the appeal on both the constituent's Appeals tab and on the gift record, it is possible to measure the success of each solicitation/promotion.



In Query or Export, use Assigned Appeals to find constituents who received an appeal and Gift Appeals to find constituents who gave in response to the appeal.
