For SQL Server database versions:

Try each of the following steps in order until the issue is resolved:

  1. If the database integrates with The Raiser's Edge, have all The Raiser's Edge users exit and sign out.
  2. File > Exit and Sign out, and reboot the computer
  3. If the database integrates with PaperSave, shut down PaperSave.
  4. Close the Blackbaud Management Console (BMC) on the server.
  5. Detach and then re-attach your database.
