Faculty Access for the Web Supervisor

  • They cannot see their own Gradebook if they are also teachers. They would need to create a non-supervisor login in order to access their own gradebooks.  
  • Cannot look up individuals students on a one-by-one basis.  
  • They can see student information as long as they access students through a teacher's gradebook.  
  • Can look up teachers' gradebooks and see all students' grades and information.  
  • Cannot edit grades, comments, or skills in teachers's gradebooks 
  • Can change the posting status on gradebooks.
  • Can view and assign conduct to students
To define a Faculty Access for the Web Supervisor:
 
  1. In Administration, click Set up system security.
  2. Open the user's security record.
  3. Select the User Information Tab
  4. Mark the FAWeb Supervisor Rights checkbox.
  5. Click Save and Close.

Faculty Access for the Web Advisor

When faculty members log in as advisors, they can view information about each of their assigned advisees, not only those enrolled in their classes. Advisors can:
 
  • Run progress reports. 
  • View daily progress information (category averages, marking column/assignment grades, and attendance) for each class in which a student is enrolled. 
  • View biographical, address, phone, and relation information. 
  • View and add conduct and activities records. 
  • Add, edit, and delete notes. 
  • Approve course requests (version 7.6 and higher). 
    • Advisors can review course requests by student. 
    • For the selected academic year, they can access the students they advise in the previous year. 
    • They can also access students they advise in the selected academic year if the student does not have a Student Progression Entry for the previous year. 
  • Send email to advisees and their relations (version 7.6 and higher). 
To add a user as an Advisor:
  1. In Records, Faculty/Staff, open the faculty member's record.
  2. On the Bio 1 tab, mark the Current advisor checkbox.
  3. Click Save and Close.

Faculty Access for the Web Administrator

When staff members log into FAWeb as administrators, they can view information in the Gradebook for all students that have a Student Progression Entry for the current academic year.
For example, the principal might want to review student information before parent conferences.

Administrators can:
  • Run progress reports for students in their own classes and their advisees.
  • View daily progress information (category averages, marking column grades, assignment grades, and attendance) for each class in which a student is enrolled
  • View biographical, address, phone, and relation information.
  • View conduct and activities records
  • Add, edit, and delete notes
  • Can view and assign conduct to students
To define a Faculty Access for the Web Administrator:
 
  1. In Administration, click Set up system security.
  2. Open the user's security record.
  3. Select the Online Security tab. 
  4. In the Online Systems box, select Faculty Access for the Web.
  5. Mark the Has administrator rights in Faculty Access for the Web checkbox.
  6. Click Save and Close.
