After migrating from the ASA versions to the SQL Server versions, re-establish the interface in The Raiser's Edge Configuration.
 

Refer to How to interface Raiser's Edge 7.6 with Financial Edge 7.2 (BB107816) for instructions.

If re-establishing the interface does not work, try the following: 

  1. Modify registry permissions by typing REGEDIT32 from the Run command line
     
  2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ODBC\ODBC.INI
     
  3. Highlight the RE7_GL key
     
  4. Select Security, Permissions from the menu bar
     
  5. Highlight Administrators and grant Administrators Full control
     
  6. Highlight System and grant System Full control
     
  7. Click OK
     
  8. Close the Registry Editor
     
  9. Log into The Raiser's Edge
     
  10. From the Configuration page, click General Ledger
     
  11. Unmark the Blackbaud General Ledger present checkbox
     
  12. Exit and Sign out of The Raiser's Edge
     
  13. Log into The Raiser's Edge again
     
  14. From the Configuration page, click General Ledger
     
  15. Mark the Blackbaud General Ledger present checkbox
     
  16. In the Database type field choose SQL Server
     
  17. In the Server name enter the name of the Financial Edge instance;  e.g. Server\FE7_MSDE
     
  18. In the Database name field enter the name of the database that appears in the Blackbaud Management Console for The Financial Edge database.
     
  19. Try process again
