The same field should not be used with different criteria in the same query. Instead, run two queries and merge them.

For example, you want to query on all Board Members with a Date From after 1/1/04 and Constituent Code Volunteer. Do not filter on:

Constituent Code Description Equals Board Member

AND Constituent Code Date From Greater than or equal to 01/01/04.

AND Constituent Code Description Equals Volunteer

Instead, create two queries and merge them:

This final query pulls all board members that have a date from after 1/1/04 and another constituency code of Volunteer.

This also applies if using opposite operators. For example, you want to query on all records with a Constituent Code Volunteer that do not have constituent code of Employee. Do not filter on:

        Constituent Code Description Equals Volunteer

AND Constituent Code Description Does Not Equal Employee

Instead, create two queries and merge them:

This final query pulls all volunteers who are not employees
