Note: To find the accurate version and revision that is installed, select Help, About [Product Name] from the menu bar in the program. The version listed in Add/Remove Programs does not display the revision number.

Try each of the following steps in order until the issue is resolved. If the Deploy folder was moved or renamed outside of Blackbaud Management Console, skip to the bottom section first.

If the problem occurs on the database server:
  • Verify the Queue service is not running during the update
  1. Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, Administrative Tools
  2. Open Services
  3. Right-click on the RE Queue service and select Stop

If the problem occurs on the Web server:

    If the problem occurs on a workstation:

    • Manually update the workstation by running setup.exe from the deploy package on the server
    • Go to the server and locate the Deploy.ini file and note the path.
    • Edit the Registry
    • Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blackbaud\Raisers Edge/7.0
    • Right-click the InstallSource string and select Modify.
    • For this value, enter the network path to the deploy folder.
    • Exit the Registry and run the patch again at the server
    • Log into the workstation and run the update when prompted
    • Check the amount of free disk space and free up disk space if needed

    If the Deploy folder was moved or renamed outside of Blackbaud Management Console:

    • In the Blackbaud Management Console, select the product for which you ran the patch
    • Select Manage Deploy Kit
    • Click Next three times
    • Note the path for Current Deploy Kit Location
    • Rename the deploy folder to the name you see in Current Deploy Kit Location
    • Run the patch again to update the deploy kit
    • Log into the workstations so they can now receive the patch
