1. Select Tools, Options from the menu bar.
  2. Select the General tab. 
  3. Under Display, mark the Show gradient background on Navigation Bar checkbox to add color to the Navigation bar or unmark the checkbox to show a flat gray color on the Navigation bar.
Note:  A change made in this Options window will apply only to the current database if OK is selected.  However, if Apply is selected, the change will apply to all databases.

Windows XP:
  1. Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel and click Display OR right-click the Desktop and select Properities
  2. Select the Appearance tab
  3. Click Advanced
  4. Select Active Title Bar in the Item drop down box. Click Color and choose the color of your choice
  5. Click OK and then Apply
Windows 7:
  1. Right-click Desktop and select Personalize
  2. Click Window Color
  3. In the Item drop down, select Active Title Bar
  4. Change the Color to the appropriate color

  5. Click Apply and then OK
