To avoid having users take up two user licenses:

  1. In Security, create two Security Groups.
  2. In the first group, only allow rights to modules in the education software.
  3. In the second group, only allow rights to modules in The Financial Edge.
  4. Assign the appropriate users to each group. When a user logs in as a member of one of the security groups, only one user license is used.
Note:  In order to just have rights to EE, users can not have access to Student Billing, and under Shared Components the following privileges: Bank Accounts, Reports and Tax Reports under the 'Options' (gray bar) for Personal Information.  In order to only have rights to FE, users can not have access to Registrars Office, or Admissions, and under Shared Components the following privileges: Education Edge and Net Solutions, and no XAP transcripts under the 'Options' for Personal Information.
