In Query, adding criteria and sort fields to your output helps you verify that your results include the correct records.

  1. In Query, Select Tools, User Options from the menu bar
     
  2. Select the Query tab
     
  3. Highlight Advanced and mark the Automatically add criteria fields as output fields and Automatically add sort fields as output fields checkboxes.

Note: To quickly output or sort by a field you're not also basing criteria upon, simply drag and drop it from the Criteria tab's Available Fields list to the Output or Sort tab.
