- Create a constituent export
- Include query if needed on General tab
- On Output, go to Summary Information, Gifts, Average Amount (select parameters required on Gift Criteria)
- Include other field required on Output
- Export data
- Create a Gift query of the gifts to include
- Create a Gift export using the Gift query
- Export Gift Amount and any other needed information
- Export in Excel format
- In Excel, use the Average function to find the average amount.
- Run the Statistical Report for the specific time frame with Gift Fund selected as the Field to Use and Average given per gift included as a column (on the Fields tab).
- Select desired filters and gift types.
- Preview the report.
- Look in the Total row for the Average given per gift column to see the average gift amount of all gifts in the date range.
