For NetClassroom version 7.83 or higher: 

 

If students are entering request only:

  1. In NetClassroom, hover over Registration, select Enter Requests to view the registration grid.
  2. To add or edit requests, click Edit Requests.

  1. To enter a request, select a course from the drop-down list. If available, select an alternate course from the Alternate drop-down list. 
     
  2. In the Additional requests section, click the binoculars in the Main Request column and search for the course to enter any additional requests.
  3. In the Alternate column, click the binoculars and search for an alternate course for the main request.  To enter an alternate request that can be applied to any course request, enter the request in the Alternate column and leave the Main Request column blank.
  4. Click Submit.
    1. If exceptions are found, an explanation of each exception appears in red by the request or in the Exceptions column of the grid. Click Submit once you resolve the exception.
    2. Most exceptions are documented in Knowledgebase. If the exception is not documented, review the exception to see what is causing the error. If unable to resolve, contact support.

If students are Enrolling in Classes:

  1. In NetClassroom, hover over Registration, select Enroll in Classes to view the registration grid.
  2. To add or edit classes, click Edit Registration.

  1. To enroll in a class, select a course from the drop-down list.
  2. Choose the preferred section.
    1. Alternate options is not available when students are allowed to enroll in Classes. This function is only available when students enter Course Request via NetClassroom Registration.
  3. Click Submit.
    1. If exceptions are found, an explanation of each exception appears in red by the request or in the Exceptions column of the grid. Click Submit once you resolve the exception.
    2. Most exceptions are documented in Knowledgebase. If the exception is not documented, review the exception to see what is causing the error. If unable to resolve, contact support.

For NetClassroom version 7.82 or lower: 

  1. In NetClassroom, select Classes, Registration to view the registration grid.
  2. To add or edit requests, click Edit Requests.
  3. To enter a request, select a course from the drop-down list. If available, select an alternate course from the Alternate drop-down list. 
  4. In the Additional requests section, click the binoculars in the Main Request column and search for the course to enter any additional requests.
  5. In the Alternate column, click the binoculars and search for an alternate course for the main request.
  6. To enter an alternate request that can be applied to any course request, enter the request in the Alternate column and leave the Main Request column blank.
  7. Click Submit. If exceptions are found, an explanation of each exception appears in red by the request or in the Exceptions column of the grid. 
  8. Click Submit once you resolve the exception.

     
Notes:
  • If the student is enrolled in one-term of a multi-term course, the enrollment does not appear.
  • If the student is enrolled in different sections of a course in each term, only the first term's class section appears.
  • If the Class column is blank, the student has requested the course, but no enrollment exists.
  • Mandatory courses will appear automatically.
  • Students will only be able to select courses that have course restrictions for the selected academic year. 
  • Students cannot enter partial requests or enroll in different classes of a course in different terms. The registrar can address these scheduling needs in Registrar's Office.
