Note: Before you proceed with the following instructions, back up the database. If your organization integrates multiple Blackbaud products, refer to the Additional Requirements section of the backup solution.


Regenerate the Address City table using an import:
 
  1. Export and import constituent addresses
    1. Create a constituent query of records with incorrect Address City table entries
       
    2. Create a constituent export in CSV (comma separated values) format based on the query created in step 1
       
    3. On the Output tab, select:

      Biographical, ID

      Address, Preferred Address/Address Processing, Import ID

      Address, Preferred Address/Address Processing, City

       

    4. Open the CSV file
       
    5. Enter the appropriate values in the City column for each record
       
    6. Save and close the CSV file
       
    7. Import the CSV file using a constituent import
       
    8. On the General tab of the import, select Update existing records
       
    9. Select all other appropriate options and complete the import process
       

     

    • Export and import relationship addresses
      1. Create a relationship query of individual and organization relationships with incorrect Address City table entries
         
      2. Create an individual relationship import file and an organization relationship import file in CSV (comma separated values) format based on the query created in step 1
         
      3. On the Fields tab for both import files, select:


        Individual Relationship/Organization Relationship, Relationship Import ID

        Address, City


         
      4. Open the CSV files
         
      5. Enter the appropriate values in the City column for each record
         
      6. Save and close the CSV files
         
      7. Import the CSV files using an individual relationship import and an organization relationship import, depending on the import file type
         
      8. On the General tab of the imports, select Update existing records
         
      9. Select all other appropriate options and complete the import process
         
      10. Export and import participant addresses if the RE: Event module is present

         

        1. Create a participant query of records with incorrect Address City table entries
           
        2. Create a participant import file in CSV (comma separated values) format based on the query created in step 1
           
        3. On the Fields tab, select:
           

          Participants, Participant Import ID

          Participants, Key Indicator

          Address, City


           
        4. Open the CSV file
           
        5. Enter the appropriate values in the City column for each record
           
        6. Save and close the CSV file
           
        7. Import the CSV file using a participant import
           
        8. On the General tab of the import, select Update existing records
           
        9. Select all other appropriate options and complete the import process 
           
      11. Delete the invalid Address City table entries
