To insert the current date into a mail merge document:
  1. Open the mail parameter in Mail 
  2. Click Send to mail merge wizard
  3. Click Next until able to select Edit the merge document
  4. Replace the date shown by selecting Insert, Date and Time from the menu bar in Word
  5. Highlight the desired date format
  6. Check the box to Automatically Update
  7. Click OK 
  8. On the Add-Ins tab click Save and return to RE7
  9. Click Next in the wizard
  10. Click Finish to see saved changes
To modify the format of an existing date field in a merge document:
  1. Open the mail parameter in Mail 
  2. Click Send to mail merge wizard
  3. Click Next until able to select Edit the merge document
  4. Right click the existing date field
  5. Select Edit Field
  6. Make desired changes to date display format
  7. Click OK
  8. On the Add-Ins tab click Save and return to RE7
  9. Click Next in the wizard
  10. Click Finish to see saved changes
Note: Similar steps can be taken to change letters stored in Config and Export.
